I took this photograph many years ago before getting sick, finding out about neuro-psychiatry, Oliver Sacks’ book and planning and creating this work. Like many other people I have been in one of these case records because each one of them contains worry, anxiety, relief, hope and judgement. Our lives can suddenly end or change, changing us in the process. I am no longer the person I was before I fell ill because my illness is inside me, it has dozed off for the second time in five years. I am still alive. This is all I know and all I am.
