Selective tonings

Selective tonings are achieved by whitening the original bleck and white photograph and subsequently revealing it by applying developer with a brush. Through this technique extremely subtle gradations of tone can be achieved and a very refined play of light. The photographs are developed manually one by one. This means that in a series of reproductions there are no two copies of the same subject are alike. The photographs are then fixed washed and dried and dry mounted onto Canson PH neutral museum conservation board. Each series is usually of thirty copies per subject and per format.
